After operating for 87 years as a favorite dining spot featuring delicious homemade ravioli and garlic steak sandwiches, the Palamidessi family decided to retire and sold the property to the City in 2022. Club Pheasant sits at the busy intersection of Jefferson and Lake Washington Boulevards on the northwest corner of the Southport Town Center.
The City, in partnership with Turton Commercial Real Estate, released a Request for Proposals on January 19, 2024, with the goal of revitalizing the property to include food-related uses, while preserving the property’s legacy as a West Sacramento landmark.
In May 2024, the city selected RamCor Dev LLC as the preferred developer for the site. In April 2025, the City Council approved a Purchase, Sale and Development Agreement with the development team. RamCor Dev LLC’s concept for the site includes multiple new retail pads, a mix of diverse and local high-quality restaurants, public gathering spaces and maintaining a portion of the original Club Pheasant building. In addition, the city will master lease 1,200 sf of storefront space for a future local business recruitment program. More details on the storefront space to be made available late Summer 2025.
