Community Development
Appointments with staff from the Building, Planning, Business Licensing, Development Engineering, Code Enforcement, Transportation and Mobility, and Sustainability Divisions are available from 8:30 am – 3 pm, Monday through Friday.
For an appointment, please call 916-617-4645 and choose the option for the division you wish to meet with.
Walk-in services at the Permit Center are available from 9 AM – 11 AM and 2 PM - 4 PM, Monday – Friday.

We are pleased to offer our citizens, businesses, and visitors access to many permit services online, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via the Citizen Access Portal. To check the status of a permit application, schedule an inspection, apply for or renew a business license and more please visit the Citizen Access Portal.
